[The Guideline project:](https://together.jolla.com/question/109236/the-guideline/) Content here seems somewhat outdated, it takes some edits to move anything to the new guideline topic "How to tag...

Yeah... again not reading carefully... just noticed that comment. :-/ I'll continue the discussion there. Thanks! :-)

system-update sounds better, as it could be later expanded with browser-update etc... But if the post is about updates in general, tag updates is also relevant. These are exactly the issues disussed...

@simo: A related issue is that there is the reserved tag 'update', and a user generated tag called 'updates'. What to do about that confusion?

@adwoude app-related tags - and some other mergings - are yet under discussion on the link above - in overall, we could comment and discuss there about all the changes before doing anything too...

@simo: Hmm this actually sparked a question for me. Perhaps we should differentiate the reserved tags from the others. What about reserving any 'jolla-...' tags for use by Jolla people only, so:...

@simo: Ah.... 'update' was even mentioned in the document... oh dear... better read more carefully next time.

Another question: I converted 'appstore' into 'app-store' for consistency with other tags. Apparently many questions are about specific app-stores, should we add 'app-store-yandex', 'app-store-amazon',...

`update` is reserved for use by Jolla crew. "system-update" has been used by some users instead.

First question: There are two tags 'update' and 'system-update', both have clear overlap. Should they be merged? Or perhaps separated into 'update-system' for Jolla OS updates, and 'update-software'...

I also started re-tagging some questions. Care does indeed need to be taken. But it is a fun thing to do. :-) I also wonder where we could discuss tag related issues in case of unclear tags or such or...

Been doing that too, and re-tagging questions to reflect the content more properly. Helps also finding the questions more easily. Some care should be taken when doing this cause sometimes a similar and...

@simo, I regularly clean up the backend so the suggestion doesn't pop-up when users start typing for a tag. Your proposal is highly appreciated, thank you!

Also, there's some cleaning to do in the tags so far (1200 different tags are used). If you run into a tag similar to another one, it would be useful to retag the question and change that to a more...

We could use the version string as 1025 or the version name 'maadajävri' when tagging relese-spesific questions.

I think you can't use tag like that. When trying to use tag 1.0.2.5 I get note "please use letters, numbers and characters "-+.#" " and can't post without editing tags to not include "." .

When submitting bugs I highly recommend also adding tag that is version like `1.0.2.5`. At least I'm doing that if I don't forget ;-)

@eric I had no idea that **Featured Tags** were selected by moderators - looking at those now I see your point, no need for any combining. By the way, I suppose you implemented the `guidelines` tag in...

@simo: since `guidelines` is a feature tag (visible on default homepage top right column), I don't see the need of combining all info into a single post. Moreover, making a very big post bears the risk...
